The well-known French businessman and former politician Bernard Tapie (78) and his wife were robbed in their house near Paris on Saturday night. They were abused in the process.

The couple had already gone to bed when four robbers broke into their home in Combs-la-Ville just after midnight. They were beaten by the robbers and tied up. It is not clear how much loot the robbers took.
Tapie’s wife was able to free herself and reach the neighbors, thus alerting the police. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Bernard Tapie himself was not admitted. The police is investigating the case.
Bernard Tapie is a well-known French businessman, former minister and former president of the Olympique Marseille football team.
