Tahar Rahim is notably featured in the series The Serpent, co-produced by BBC One and Netflix (read our review below) or in the credits of the impressive feature film Designated Guilty by Kevin Macdonald, an adaptation of Mohamedou’s memoirs. Ould Slahi Les Carnets de Guantánamo, in which the Mauritanian writer recounts his detention in the infamous American high security military detention center. A punchy film that has yet to be seen in our cinemas.
The French actor also sees his international rating soar with a nomination to the last Golden Globes as well as to the BAFTAs (the British Oscars), the ceremony of which will take place tomorrow, April 11.
