For several weeks, attendance at collection sites has been declining. It is the French Blood Establishment (EFS) which announces it and calls for donations.
If the blood reserves remain generally stable even if they are fragile, the pockets of a blood group decrease sharply: group O and in particular O rhesus negative. They are indeed “universal donors” because it is a group that suits everyone.
The EFS therefore invites the greatest number of donors to make an appointment today to donate their blood, and in particular those of group O.
