French Actor Adama Niane Passes Away at Age 56: A Look Back at His Career

Adama Niane (Paris, August 23, 1966 – January 28, 2023)[1]was a French actor.

Born in the 18th arrondissement of Paris on August 23, 1966, Niane studied theater at the Sorbonne New Paris 3 University and began his career in Philippe Duclos’ theater company. In the late 1980s, he acted in works by Alfred de Musset, Pierre de Marivaux, Bernard-Marie Koltès and Jean-Luc Lagarce.[2]

He frequently appeared in recurring television roles in series such as Mystères, PJ and Panthers, and gained notoriety with his role as Sébastien Sangha in the series Plus belle la vie.[1]He also played some film roles, playing serial killer Guy Georges in SK1.[3]He appeared in other films such as Le Gang des Antillais, by Jean-Claude Barny, and Furie, by Olivier Abbou.[4][5]In 2021 he played the role of Léonard Koné in the popular series Lupine.[6]

Niane passed away on January 28, 2023 at the age of 56.[1][6]
