Those who cycle from Dresden to Freital should be careful shortly before entering the 100-year-old industrial city. On the bike path next to Tharandter Straße, which becomes Dresdner Straße a few meters further, there are holes in the bike path. Several concrete paving stones are slightly damaged.

This damage is already known to the road and civil engineering department of the city of Dresden, announced Anke Hoffmann from the Dresden press office when asked by Sächsische.de. The notice was received a few days ago. Independently of this, Tharandter Strasse, including the cycle path, is checked weekly by the city. The concrete paving stones in question are located at the level of the property at Tharandter Straße 199.

“The property owner is responsible for the structural maintenance of the driveway,” says Hoffmann. The city asked him to repair it. When this will take place, she could not say: “A date for the repair can not yet be named,” she explains.

The cycle path in Plauenschen Grund connects the Dresden district of Dölzschen with Freital-Potschappel and runs parallel to Tharandter Straße. It is widely used by cyclists.
