Freighter with sulfuric acid makes water at Echt-Susteren | Inland

Earlier on Wednesday there were fears that sulfuric acid was leaking, but that appears not to be the case. The accident happened on the Juliana Canal near the Limburg municipality of Echt-Susteren.

The ship has sailed to Echt-Susteren. There, it is checked whether the leak can be closed, so that the ship can continue its journey later. If that fails, the cargo has to be pumped to another vessel.
