As a result of the incident, “the gauge of the adjacent track was violated.” Train traffic has been temporarily suspended. No one was hurt, there is no threat to the environment.
Passenger train No. 1 Vladivostok – Moscow was detained due to the derailment of wagons. The passengers of the train will be provided with additional meals, the Ministry of Emergency Situations assured. Passenger train No. 8 Novosibirsk-Vladivostok is also expected to be delayed. In addition, suburban passenger trains No. 6211 Chernyshevsk-Shilka and No. 6212 Shilka-Chernyshevsk have been cancelled.
Four recovery trains were sent to eliminate the consequences. The task force of the fire and rescue unit is at the scene of the incident.

In particular, on May 18, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov announced such an incident in the Simferopol region. Minister of Transport of the Region Nikolay Lukashenko clarified that we are talking about eight wagons with grain. No one was injured in the accident.
At first, the cause of the incident was not named, but later the Chairman of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov reported about the undermining of the railway “due to the intervention of unauthorized persons.” Konstantinov also expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian authorities were behind the incident.
