The first Advent is over and the time for reviews and calls for donations begins.
It was a very interesting year for Freifunk Frankfurt. 10 years after the association was founded, we finally became a non-profit organization at the beginning of this year. Unfortunately, Freifunk Frankfurt recently experienced the biggest break we have experienced to date.
The outbreak was beyond concern and the situation is still ongoing.
However, it has also become clear that we need to invest more in some areas.
This is particularly relevant to the call that we are looking for people who want to deal with issues independently and take them forward. There is plenty to do.
At the same time, many projects are also dependent on money. Depending on financial resources, we want to replace the backend with many tools, so we would like to ask you to support us financially.
Both smaller amounts for administrative costs, which have increased significantly over time, and donations from larger companies help us.
With your support, we want to hold hackathons, meetings and educational events again next year, fix the remaining breaks and improve the reliability of Freifunk Frankfurt.
