Already yesterday morning around 9:30 a.m. the city of Freiburg informed the police that there would probably be traffic in the area of the side entrance to the Schlossberg bunker in the area of Kartäuserstraße.
Municipal employees and the fire brigade visited the location and found that several people had made their homes in the bunker.
First of all, the tunnel was roughly searched for evidence of people being inhabited by the patrol that was called.
The bunker system with side tunnels and around 40 rooms was searched by emergency services who were in the Freiburg city center due to a registered demonstration.
Apparently several rooms were used for permanent living. There were indications of about ten residents.
The entrances were secured. The further investigations are carried out by the Freiburg-Nord police station.
