Freiburg: Traveling on the ICE without a ticket – 31-year-olds received by the federal police after the train arrives at Freiburg Central Station

A man who was caught on a long-distance train yesterday Thursday afternoon without a ticket was no stranger, because he was wanted four times nationwide to determine his whereabouts because of the fraudulent use of services.

The 31-year-old Swedish national used the ICE from Frankfurt am Main to Freiburg im Breisgau without the required ticket. The train crew requested the federal police to clarify the identity. After the train arrived at Freiburg Central Station, the patrol found not only the identity of the 31-year-old, but also that he was wanted by four courts for fraudulently providing services to determine his whereabouts. Now there was another procedure by the Federal Police in Freiburg. A prison sentence of up to one year or a fine can be imposed for obtaining benefits by fraud.
