Ortenaukreis is now considered a corona risk area
In Freiburg and the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, the number of corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants scratches the critical mark of 50 within seven days.On Monday (October 19, 2020) it was 49.7 in the district and 47.6 in the city . The region is not yet considered a hotspot, but it will soon become one. Should the value exceed 50, the city and district could take stricter measures. In Ortenau, the value was exceeded on Tuesday (October 20, 2020) (51.96), but the district waived more far-reaching restrictions, such as curfews or alcohol bans.
The Ortenaukreis feels that the contact restrictions decided by the state on Monday and the extended mask requirement are sufficient. Some companies are now taking more far-reaching measures. In Breisach, Müllheim and Titisee-Neustadt, among others, the Helios clinics prohibit visits.
In Freiburg, too, in the event of a further increase, the measures would initially not be expected to be tightened further – but with reservations. Until further notice, however, they want to adhere to the requirements of the state government, it says from the town hall.
