Freiburg: September 29th: Freiburger Verkehrs AG is on strike – no light rail traffic in Freiburg

The Freiburger Verkehrs AG (VAG) will be on strike on Tuesday, September 29, from the start of operations to the end of operations by the ver.di union. The Schauinslandbahn as well as the pluspunkt (Salzstraße 3) and the customer center in the bike station, the VAG lost property office and the department for the increased transport fee in the VAG center are also affected by the strike.

There will be no light rail traffic in Freiburg during the strike. In the bus bus area, only lines 15 and 16 in Gundelfingen and line 31 (Paduaallee – Niederrimsingen – Gündlingen – Breisach) run according to the usual schedule. On line 32 (Haid – Rieselfeld – Opfingen – Waltershofen – Paduaallee) there are no individual journeys. All journeys that are made by private subcontractors on behalf of VAG are carried out on this line.

The VAG points out that the bus routes that run despite the strike do not offer any connection to other VAG trams or bus routes.

It is also pointed out that destinations in the city of Freiburg can be reached by public transport with the lines of the Breisgau S-Bahn as well as the inner-city stops of the regional transport of Deutsche Bahn and with some lines of the bus companies operating in the surrounding area.
