Fire in the underground car park: around 75 people evacuated

Because of a fire in an underground car park in Freiburg, around 75 people had to spend part of the night outside their homes. Three cars burned in the garage on Friday night for reasons that are still unclear, the police said in the morning. According to the fire department, there was a lot of smoke. Residents of the surrounding buildings were therefore evacuated and were able to stay on a bus. According to police, no one was injured by the fire. The cars burned out completely, other vehicles and the garage ceiling were damaged by soot and heat.
