Freiburg: Ice hockey: Christoph Kiefersauer is also part of the Wölfe squad in the 2021/22 DEL2 season – before this season, 23-year-old Christoph Kiefersauer came from the league competitor in Bad Tölz

Before this season, the 23-year-old Christoph Kiefersauer came to the Breisgau from the league competitor in Bad Tölz. Before that, he was able to gain experience with our playoff opponents from Kaufbeuren, in Deggendorf and in the top German division at ERC Ingolstadt.

After a strong preparation, an injury in the first game of the season forced the left-handed shooter to sit out almost the entire season. Only shortly before the end of the main round Kiefersauer came back on the ice and picked up where he left off. In the playoffs, the striker can currently show an assist and a goal.

Christoph Kiefersauer: “I’m really looking forward to playing another year in Freiburg. For me personally, the season with my injury was unfortunate and I haven’t been able to wear the Wölfe jersey as often as I had hoped. It is all the better that the club continues to trust me and give me the opportunity to show myself. I feel incredibly at home here and can hardly wait to finally play in front of the EHC fans and get to know the city and the area around Freiburg even better. ”

In addition to Christian Billich and Nick Pageau, Christoph Kiefersauer is the third player from the current squad who will also be on the ice for the wolves in the DEL2 season 2021/22.
