Excursion: Edible wild herbs at the edge of the forest
During a hike with health practitioner Martine Schiller through the springtime city forest, the participants get to know tasty wild herbs at their location. You will learn how to use them for soups, desserts, salads and vegetable dishes and which herbs belong in the May punch. If you want, you can bring a small notebook or booklet, pen and tape to create a herbarium. 14 years and older. Participation fee: 9 euros.

Miss Brehm’s wildlife:
The Waldhaus presents the only theater in the world for endangered native animal species. At 2 p.m. Lynx lynx, the lynx, comes, and at 4 p.m. Hymenotpera, the wild bees, hum a spring song. The programs are recommended for children from the age of 8 (lynx) and from 10 years (bees). Participation free of charge, without registration.

Arbor Day: Excursion through the city forest
Albrecht Verbeek, Ltd. former forest director, the participants the principle of sustainable forestry. Interesting forest pictures show how natural regeneration works, how much wood grows back in the city forest and how much of it is used each year. Particular attention is paid to the various tree species, in particular the common beech as tree of the year 2022.
Participation free of charge, donations welcome, no registration required.
