Florence Aoustet – flute / alto and bass flute / picc.
Lorenzo Salvà Peralta – clarinet / bass clarinet

Cornelius Bauer – Violin / Viola
Philipp Schiemenz – Violonc

Six soloists of the Holst-Sinfonietta play in their new concert program in the so-called Pierrot line-up (flute / clarinet / piano / violin / cello) plus drums. This line-up is the core of many established new music ensembles and has inspired many composers over the past few decades. After the great success of our first Mix for Six program in 2017, the ensemble has now devised a continuation with an international program. For the first time, the ensemble will play one work each by the Swiss composer Dieter Ammann and the young American Timo Andres. The works of these two composers will be heard as German premieres.
During the British Mark-Anthony Turnages Grazioso! with the title lays a completely wrong track and instead grabs the listener very violently and eruptively, Zaka is a frenzied sweep of the American Jennifer Higdon, who technically demands every single one of the ensemble extremely.
No, young sir, one does not make it true!

Songs from the “Italian songbook” by Hugo Wolf (1860 to 1903)
An event of the Freiburg University of Music, young talents of classical music introduce themselves:
Elisabeth Birgmeier – soprano
Luca Festner – Tenor
Giulio Ferré – Keyboard
With this recital, young talents who are between the end of their training and the beginning of their career invite you to a humorous, thoughtful and entertaining hour of music and present songs by one of the greatest masters of the art of song: Hugo Wolf.
His often very short songs from this collection are, in their scarcity, at the same time a complete microcosm of human relationships with one another. This is where people beg, shrivel, pamper and vigorously get rid of. Paul Heyse is the poet of the songs of the “Italian Songbook”, who tried in over 100 poems to capture the temperament of Italian lovers or those who are no longer lovers. It can get very hot: A “she” sings: “No, young sir, you don’t do it for real; one makes sure to behave properly ”. A “he” ponders: “Blessed are you dumb ones, who cannot make your heart’s trouble understandable to women; blessed are you dead who have been buried! You should have rest from the torments of love. “
The Austrian composer Hugo Wolf is considered one of the most important song composers of the late Romantic period and set texts by Mörike, Eichendorff, Goethe, Paul Heyse and Emanuel Geibel, among others.

Eastern Winds
Fr, 26.03.2021 | 20:00
Live from the E-Werk Freiburg
https://www.infreiburgzuhause.de
Genre: world music
Marina Baranova (Piano)
Camerata String Quartet:
Martina Wündrich (violin)
Vera von Kap-Herr (violin)
Anne-Françoise Guezingar (Viola)
Georg Rudiger (Cello)
Murat Coşkun (percussion, voice)

The focus of the concert program is on Eastern Europe – geographically and musically – and promises an exciting listening experience!
In the first part, the versatile and award-winning Ukrainian pianist Marina Baranova shows her virtuoso, sensitive piano playing in filigree original compositions, which unencumbered world music, classical music and jazz and creates strong musical images.
The second part of the program features music from Georgia, the interface between Europe and Asia, with works by Zulkhan Zinzadze. The string quartet of the Camerata Academica Freiburg interprets pieces by the Georgian composer who has transformed folkloric dance motifs from his homeland into “miniatures”. In the freshly engaged game of the String Quartet, playful dance styles and a humorous musical wink come together.
Marina Baranova and the Camerata String Quartet are each accompanied by the world percussionist Murat Coşkun, who immerses himself in the various musical worlds with his very own groove and lets sounds pulsate.
The music of these encounters is always alive and in motion and thanks to the powerful musical “east wind” it is full of melancholy and rhythmic joie de vivre

Here is the idea again:
After an idea and on the initiative of the Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau, in cooperation with the FWTM (operator) and Kulturaggregat eV, a possibility was developed to offer us all the finest cultural enjoyment even in these times.

#inFreiburgzuhause is a new online platform through which high-quality events from Freiburg’s venues and cultural centers can be experienced live. At home or on the go, on your PC, laptop, iPad or smartphone. With funds from Sparkasse, FWTM, SC Freiburg and other sponsors, an attempt is made to offer the venues and cultural centers a perspective again in times of reduced contacts and to help them through the crisis. Of course, the #inFreiburgzuhause project also depends on the public. Anyone can support the venues and artists by (voluntarily) purchasing virtual tickets. You too can make a personal contribution to keeping the diverse cultural landscape alive here.
