Freiburg (dpa/lsw) – Police are investigating ten men aged between 16 and 79 because they allegedly distributed or possessed child pornography images and videos. Detectives searched ten apartments in the Waldshut district on Tuesday last week, police said on Tuesday. There were no arrests, a spokesman said.
During the raid, the police confiscated smartphones, computers and mobile data carriers. Investigators identified over 400 child pornography files. The defendants are therefore suspected of distributing child pornography images and videos, mostly on messaging services such as WhatsApp. According to the spokesman, the suspects were not related to each other. Even small amounts of the drug were found on one of them. Device evaluation is in progress.
Already in October there had been a major police operation in southern Baden due to child pornography. At that time there were searches in Freiburg and in the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Emmendingen, Waldshut and Lörrach.
