Freiburg: check at Freiburg central bus station – man with false ID on arriving long-distance bus

A 32-year-old presented false ID when the long-distance bus was checked and was discovered. The federal police confiscated the identity card and initiated criminal proceedings.

The man was on the long-distance bus from Milan to Dortmund early Monday morning (November 28, 2022). When he stopped at the central bus station in Freiburg im Breisgau, the federal police checked the bus. The patrol found signs of forgery in the presented passport. However, the Ghanaian citizen still held an Italian residence permit. There were three inquiries to determine the man’s whereabouts on the man’s personal details. He is accused of two violent crimes and a violation of the asylum law. The 32-year-old will have to answer for false documents and violations of the residence law. The federal police gave the man a deadline to leave Germany. The identity document presented has been confiscated.
