Freiburg, Breisach: June 6th to 10th, Breisgau S-Bahn: “Breisacher Bahn” closed – alternative rail services between Freiburg and Breisach will be set up – level crossings temporarily blocked

The Breisacher Bahn will be closed from 6 to 10 June as part of routine darning work. The work will be carried out together with a switch installation in Freiburg Hbf in order to keep the restrictions for the passengers as low as possible. Sometimes night work is also necessary.

A rail replacement service (SEV) is set up between Freiburg and Breisach. Since Gottenheim station is not accessible for train traffic from / towards Endingen, a bus service has also been set up there, which includes Bötzingen station in the SEV between Breisach and Freiburg. There are express buses with few stops and buses that serve all the on-the-go stations. The SWEG trains that run between Endingen and Gottenheim / Freiburg on Sunday, June 7, 2020 will also be replaced by buses in the Bötzingen – Gottenheim / Freiburg section.

The necessary blocking of the level crossings has been coordinated with the authorities.

In the Freiburg area at the level crossings “Buchheimerstrasse” (from June 5th to June 7th, 2020), “BHF Hugstetten” (from June 5th to June 7th, 2020), “Forest Kindergarten” (from June 5th to June 9th, 2020), “Im Wolfswinkel” ( from June 6th to June 8th, 2020), “Im Christ” (from June 6th to June 8th, 2020), “Landwasser stop” (from June 6th to June 9th, 2020) and “Königsbergerstrasse” (from June 8th to June 11th, 2020).

Temporary restrictions also exist at the level crossings in Gottenheim on “Bötzinger Straße”, in Wasenweiler on “Wirtschaftsweg” and on “Merdingerstraße”, as well as in Ihringen on “Gündlingerstraße / Eisenbahnstraße” and “Keltenweg / Am Krebsbach”.
