Freiburg: Bodily injury after Bundesliga match with SC Freiburg – 1. FC Union Berlin at Freiburg main train station – Federal Police are looking for the injured party

The Bundesliga match between SC Freiburg and 1. FC Union Berlin took place on Sunday 13 November 2022. During the return phase of the fans to the Freiburg im Breisgau main train station, a personal injury offense allegedly occurred.

At around 20:26, a previously unknown man is said to have been physically attacked by a Berlin fan on platform 1, near the local fast food restaurant. After the information has been provided by the injured party, the Berlin fan could be subjected to a personal identification by the Federal Police. The offended man left during the trial without providing his personal details.

The federal police have initiated a criminal case and are looking for witnesses to the accident. In particular, the injured party is invited to report. People who also witnessed the incident and can report it or who may have photographed or filmed the event are asked to contact the Federal Police on 07628 80590.
