Judith Hermann’s books have always been an event: Even her debut “Sommerhaus, later” from 1998 made her famous at once. This was followed by three volumes of short stories and a novel. With “Daheim” (Fischer, 2021), the Berlin author is now presenting her second novel, the story of a departure. The capital city flair has completely disappeared from the first stories: The sea appears, the landscape on the coast. Judith Hermann tells vividly about a woman who wonders whether she could go home or whether she should move on. The story of the moment when life is divided, an old world is lost and a new one arises. The literary critic Christoph Schröder will host the evening.

The producers of hyrrätytö and mä hyrrä present a new circus piece in the theater arena – without elephants. hyrrä paratiisi is a staging of acrobatics, text and music – direct, close, pure and enchanting.

Eight artists from 4 nations combine circus disciplines, language and music into one performance. New circus without a classic structure, without barriers, instead with freedom, soft and hard changes. With acrobatic turns, manipulated bodies, its own soundtrack and lyrics about life in paradise.
