The ensemble profectio initiative freiburg (founded in 1991 by Roland Breitenfeld and Donoung Lee) presents “German-Korean sound scenes” in its concert to mark its 30th anniversary. The prologue and epilogue are each performed with a traditional Korean drum dance. Framed by individual sections of the “10 Fragmentary Thoughts” for violin solo by the South Korean composer JuneYoung Joo, the two compositions of the founding members can be heard: “Klangszene” by D. Lee and “… it will be in peace” by R. Breitenfeld (violin / soprano, Trombone, percussion, live electronics).

“… it will be in peace” is a call for peace in 17 different languages, coupled with the text of the inscription of the Hosanna bell, … cum pace …, of the Freiburg Minster from 1256 and its sound – recorded and electronically processed from the computer.
The program is also a contribution to the 900th anniversary of the city of Freiburg im Breisgau and was created in coproduction with the town twinning association “Freundeskreis Freiburg-Suwon eV”.
With the kind support of: Cultural Office of the City of Freiburg, Regional Council Freiburg, Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau, Musik Bertram, Korean Cultural Center Berlin.

live from the metal karaoke in the bucket!

Can you hear that No? We neither. It has been pretty quiet around the metal karaoke for a whole year. Where for more than seven years one song has usually followed the next on Mondays, there is now serenity. The contributions as unforgettable as they are legendary: Queen, Metallica, Green Day, Slipknot, Nightwish, Machine Head, Rammstein, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin … – everything from neck pain to heartache was there. Not always perfect, sometimes close to the pain limit, often outstanding to world class. One thing was always guaranteed: a bombastic atmosphere.

All of that is missing. And hurts. And let’s be honest: you want it, we want it – so let’s make a virtue out of necessity – let it become really audible and visible – especially now.

We’re starting the somewhat different song contest: Rockröhre LIVE – we’re looking for six participants who will perform their favorite songs, their evergreens from the genres of hard rock, punk to heavy, black or death metal. You vote on infreiburgzuhause.de in the chat about who will progress. LIVE. The prizes are lavish vouchers for your favorite bar at Belfortstrasse 39. As usual, we stream the whole thing in great HD top quality.

We will also conduct short interviews with all candidates. You can join the chat at any time, we will take you behind the scenes and show you up close how your Freiburg cult bar in the Sedan district survives hibernation. A chat or two with your favorite counter staff should not be missing. Take part, tune in, leave a donation. Our message to you: We miss u – we love u – CU soon!
