Outpatient care, home emergency calls, professional wound care, counseling services, Wohnen plus, our own day care and two partnerships with residential communities for people in need of care: Behind the REGIO Pflegedienst Breisgau is a whole network of specialized structures and resources that offer a comprehensive and differentiated range of care and support enable. This year the nursing service looks back on 25 successful years.
In 1997, the foundation for today’s REGIO Pflegedienst Breisgau GmbH was laid in Freiburg-Gundelfingen. A small outpatient care service with initially three employees and around 10 customers has grown into a medium-sized company with almost 90 employees and over 300 customers.
A special feature of the nursing service is the differentiated offer for its customers. “Over the years we have always worked to optimize our services and expand our range. It is important to us that we always respond to changes in the needs of our customers – with new concepts and suitable offers,” reports Managing Director Dietmar Wasmuth.
A major milestone in the history of the nursing service took place last year. In August 2021, the new heart project of REGIO Pflegedienst Breisgau GmbH, the “GemeinsamHAID”, officially started. Here several care offers for people in different life situations are combined under one roof. In addition to the usual outpatient care services, the nursing service can now also offer day care, a new residential community for people with increased nursing needs and assisted living.
This year, REGIO Pflegedienst Breisgau GmbH is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Such continuity and such growth cannot be taken for granted. Nursing shortage, shortage of skilled workers, demographic change – nursing in Germany has to face major challenges. The demand for professional care is constantly increasing. At the same time, however, the number of nursing professionals and nursing staff is falling. “This poses major challenges for outpatient care services like us. The question we have to ask ourselves is: How can we compensate for this development in demand in the long term and with foresight?” states Managing Director Kyrill Kreuzer.
Nevertheless, the REGIO nursing service Breisgau is optimistic about the future. “It has always been important for us to adapt to changing conditions and demand,” says Dietmar Wasmuth, “that’s why we continue to focus on innovation and development. The satisfaction of our customers and employees will continue to have the highest priority in the future.”
This anniversary will be celebrated with an open day on July 30th, 2022 in the premises of GemeinHAID at Rankackerweg 24-26. In addition to exciting lectures, guided tours through the day care and advisory services, a barbecue stand and a coffee and cake buffet ensure the physical well-being of the guests.
