Freiburg: 18-year-old rescued after a swimming accident in Freiburg – unknown first aider wanted

Already on Sunday (07/31/22) at around 2.40 p.m. a swimming accident occurred in the Flückiger See in Freiburg through no third party’s fault, as a result of which an 18-year-old woman finally drifted unconscious on the water surface.

A previously unknown woman became aware of the 18-year-old’s predicament, brought her to the lake shore and presumably saved her life.

Other helpers were then added and the 18-year-old woman was taken to a Freiburg clinic for medical treatment after she had regained consciousness. At that time there was no danger to life.
The 18-year-old has since left the clinic.

The Freiburg-Nord police station (telephone: 0761/882-4221) is now looking for the previously unknown first aider and is asking for information on this.

It is described as follows:
– Female
– about 50 to 60 years old
– about 165 to 175 centimeters tall
– shoulder length light brown/blonde hair
– German with possibly a Russian/Polish accent
– wore a bathing suit
– carried a small mongrel dog (light brown, short fur)
– Apparently the first aider often stays at the Flückiger See below the lookout tower.
