The transfer of knowledge and technologies from science to business and society as well as cooperation between universities and companies are a great benefit for both sides. This also means that universities see themselves even more than before as innovation and location factors for their region.
Universities, especially in a regional context, have the potential to act as knowledge nodes and engines and to open themselves even more to the economy and society through the transfer of knowledge and knowledge. The regional added value potential is correspondingly high. At the same time, the opening of universities to business and society brings new impulses for research and teaching.
Due to its achievements in research, teaching and derived from it in the transfer of knowledge and technologies, the University of Freiburg already has a high national and international visibility. According to an idea by Johannes Rühl, citizens of Freiburg can still send letters to the future of our city until July 15th, 21st as part of the Freiburg City Anniversary. These will not be opened until 2120 and will be kept in the city archive until then. Nobody knows what is in these letters, unless the letter writers themselves volunteer to present their letter and give us an exciting insight into your thoughts as early as 2021.
Driven by pure curiosity about what has now been written in the future, senders of “PORTO ZAHLT RECEIVER” present the letters on the stage of the E-WERK Freiburg and let us participate in their messages. Under the title “PORTO PAYS RECEIVER”, the viewers get an impressive insight into the thoughts and questions that will be directed towards the next generation.
An event of the E-WERK Freiburg in cooperation with the city of Freiburg for the city anniversary, the moderation takes over “just like that”.
