[지앤이타임즈]The government announced that it would freeze the prices of domestic coal and briquettes.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will revise the’Notice on Designation of the Best Selling Price for Anthracite and Briquettes’ and enter into force from the 16th.
The government, which raised prices every year to realize coal and briquette prices from 2016 to 2018, has frozen it last year in consideration of the burden of heating costs for the common people.
This year is also maintained at the level of last year.
Accordingly, coal is supplied at 187,000 won per ton, and briquettes are supplied at 639 won per ton.
Meanwhile, the government is increasing the amount of briquette coupons for low-income families this year from last year.
Last year, it paid 406,000 won per household, but this year it increased the amount of support to 472,000 won.
For households using briquettes from low-income families who want to convert fuel, they will continue to support boiler replacement and insulation construction.
The government plans to provide 86.9 billion won next year for the budget for energy efficiency improvement projects for low-income families, including the replacement of boilers for households using briquettes.
