Big Boss of Freeport-McMoRan meets Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir. The meeting took place at the BUMN Ministry Office, Jakarta.
There were two Freeport officials who met Erick Thohir. They are Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Freeport-McMoRan, and Kathleen L. Quirk President and a member of the Board of Directors of Freeport-McMoRan.
Erick Thohir conveyed this meeting via his Instagram account @erickthohir, Tuesday (12/12/2023). Apart from Richard Adkerson, Freeport-McMoRan President Kathleen L. Quirk was also present.
“This afternoon the arrival of two high-ranking Freeport McMoran USA officials, Richard Adkerson and Kathleen Quirk. This meeting is a follow-up to discussions last November in Washington DC,” said Erick Thohir on his Instagram account, Tuesday (12/12/2023).
According to Erick, the material discussed was about the construction of the Freeport smelter in Gresik, East Java and Freeport investment in Indonesia.
“We discussed various PT Freeport Indonesia investment developments and ensured the completion of the Smelter construction in Gresik, East Java,” explained Erick Thohir.
Erick added that the Freeport smelter will open on Thursday (14/12/2023), and the second phase of construction will be completed in May 2024.
