“Freedom for Britney Spears!” Fans from all over the world rush to save the pop diva – Hollywood

Spears has been under the custody of a third party since 2008.

It all started with the fact that in 2007 Spira and Federline’s marriage broke up. Federlain, who was a dancer in Britain’s accompanying troupe, applied for and received parental custody of the two sons after the divorce. The reasons were various – Britney’s “inappropriate behavior”, namely shaving her head, attacking a paparazzi car, and even the fact that she started talking with a “British accent”.

Shortly afterwards, Spears suffered a mental breakdown and was admitted to a psychiatric clinic at the age of 26 (according to Britney herself, without her consent), but a month later the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, and family lawyer Andrew Wallet received temporary custody of him.

In 2019, Jamie Spears resigned as a guardian due to health problems and was temporarily taken over by singer manager Jody Montgomery.

What does this care mean? In the case of Britney, guardians have complete control over finances, healthcare, decisions regarding personal life. However, attorney Stanton Stein, representing Spears in court, claims that the singer is always involved in all business decisions that affect her career and finances. Montgomery is currently acting as legal guardian.

Spears’ father admitted that the powers allowed him to choose who would be the pop diva’s beloved and who would not.

Spears may not vote, marry, give birth, spend money, personally control financial transactions, hire a lawyer at his or her own discretion, or speak publicly about guardianship conditions under the guardianship rules – and that is not all. Usually, in such custody conditions, people are completely or partially incapacitated – either in a coma or with severe mental disorders.

The #FreeBritney movement began when Britney abruptly canceled her regular Las Vegas show in January 2019, saying she was retiring indefinitely due to her father’s serious illness. After that, all activities on her social networks stopped completely. A month later, there were reports that Britney had voluntarily gone to a psychiatric clinic for treatment and recovery due to her father’s illness. Then in April 2019, there were rumors that her father had placed Britney in the clinic.

Recently, it seems to fans that Britney is sending encrypted help signals on social networks. During the pandemic, Britney has been active on social media, regularly publishing her fitness videos, dancing and writing all kinds of inspirational quotes. But zealous followers were worried, for example, about a video posted by Britney in which she simply walks back and forth with a yellow shirt on her back. Earlier, one of her fans wrote, “If you need help, put on a yellow shirt in the next video.” The same thing happened with an invitation to the singer to post a photo of the pigeons if she got into trouble. An old picture of pigeons appeared in the singer’s “Instagram” account.

No one knows if Britney reads all the comments below her publications and, in general, whether she manages her own social networks. She herself spoke only once about this whole custody situation – in the 2008 documentary “Britney: For the Record”, saying: “Even when you go to prison, you know that the time will come and you will be released. “But this whole situation is endless. It’s like Groundhog Day every day.”

It has now become known that Spears went to court on 18 August to seek release from the care of his father, Jamie Spears.
