Around 20 party members from neighboring municipalities had now come to elect the board for a district division of the still young party. The basic idea is to better bundle local interests and messages, to be able to appear more unified, also with regard to the state elections in the coming year, explains Arbi Davood Megerdich (Viersen district), who was elected chairman: “We stand for a socially balanced policy of the center . As a bourgeois alternative to the people’s parties, the concerns of all citizens are immensely important to us. We are at home in local politics and therefore see ourselves as representatives of the interests of cities and municipalities. “

In addition to Megerdich, the new board is composed as follows: Deputy Chair: Hanneke Hellmann (Kleve district), Secretary: Annette Schrader-Schoutz (Mönchengladbach), Treasurer: Ralf Krings (Krefeld), Assessor: Patricia Gerlings-Hellmanns (Kleve district), Jörg Frick, Christian Link (both in the Viersen district), Marco Haack, Hans Werner Schoutz (both in Mönchengladbach) and Hans Günther Schmitz (Krefeld).
