Vitamin D deficiency can be replenished for free
In Murmansk, on January 26, a program for free vitamin supplementation for residents of the region will start. The head of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, announced this at an operational meeting in the regional government.
Northerners suffer from a lack of vitamin D more than other Russians, because the North is famous for its long and cold winters.
“Therefore, as part of the strategic plan ‘Live in the North!’, we are opening a program for diagnosing vitamin D levels and correcting them in case of deficiency,” Chibis wrote in his Telegram channel.
In just 20 minutes, northerners will be able to receive comprehensive information about the required amount of the “sunshine” vitamin and receive the medicine for free.
After the start of the program in Murmansk, it will begin to operate throughout the region.
