Libreville, Friday August 15, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Minister of National Education provides explanations on this measure announced by the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
In order to avoid any confusion in the implementation of free tuition and registration fees taken by the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the Minister of National Education met last Wednesday with the heads of denominational and private secular establishments. Camélia Ntoutoume Leclercq occasionally explained the contours of this presidential measure. “The decision that was taken by the president of the CTRI is free registration and re-registration fees. This concerns public establishments. At the denominational level, only children who have been oriented by the State. And its children who are oriented by the State towards religious denominations, we also cover the school fees. These school fees include school fees, but for children oriented by the state,” she stressed.
For the Minister of National Education, this measure by the Head of State puts an end to a controversy which has arisen within families. “Parents who themselves refused the guidance of the Ministry of National Education, well, they are responsible for the registration fees and school fees of their children,” said Ms. Ntoutoume Leclercq.
