Free travel on the metro also for Haya card holders tomorrow

Doha: Free ride for Haya card holders on the Doha Metro will end tomorrow.

Qatar Rail has announced that travel cards must be used from 24. To facilitate travel to stadiums and entertainment centers in the country for HAYA card holders who come to the World Cup, free metro travel has been provided since November and on the Doha tram. The Doha Metro made the World Cup journey a success by providing safe travel to around 7 lakh passengers every day.

110 trains and 18 trams operated continuously for 21 hours during the World Cup. Passengers were also served by volunteers and Metro staff at all Metro stations. Doha Metro completed the World Cup journey with the applause of more than 14 lakh fans who came to the country to watch the World Cup.

Updated subway timetables

Doha: With the end of the World Cup, the working hours of the country’s public transport facilities, including the Doha Metro, have been updated. Doha’s Metro and tram services operate under the new timetable.

As per the revised timetable, services will be 5.30am to 11.59pm Sunday to Wednesday, 1am to 1am on Thursdays, 2pm to 1am on Fridays and 6am to 11.59pm on Saturdays. Connecting Metro buses will also operate accordingly.
