Burger King helps the Ronald McDonald Foundation
Burger King on Wednesday on its social media he urged people to buy fries from their biggest competitor.
In this way, the fast food chain supports the charity campaign of the Ronald McDonald’s Foundation, owned by McDonald’s. On December 11-12, part of the income from the sale of McDonald’s fries will go to the operation of Ronald McDonald’s Houses – places where parents can be with their children and support them when they are struggling with disease. One zloty from each portion of fries sold supports the “McHappy Day” initiative.
There are two Ronald McDonald Houses in Poland. The first one was established 6 years ago at the University Children’s Hospital in Krakow. The second one has been operating for a year at the Children’s Teaching Hospital of UCK WUM in Warsaw.
The Ronald McDonald Foundation was established in 2002 and is part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities network operating in 64 countries. The organization deals with activities in the area of child health prophylaxis and support for families in the time of serious illness of its youngest members. The foundation’s programs are nationwide and are implemented with the support of companies, individuals and volunteers.
In total, 98 restaurants operate in Poland under the Burger King brand. In turn, McDonald’s has over 450 premises in Poland.
