The government provides vaccinations rotavirus free for child. This vaccine is given to prevent diarrhea which can be dangerous if left unchecked.

Apart from causing morbidity and death, diarrhea also hinders the growth and development of children and risks triggering stunting.
Terms and how to get the rotavirus vaccine
The administration of the vaccine itself began on August 15 in South Sulawesi. Vaccines are specifically given to babies aged two months or six weeks.
The government’s free rotavirus vaccination program uses the Rotavac vaccine. This Indian-made vaccine has received approval for use from the Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM).
Vaccines can be obtained free of charge at the nearest Posyandu and Puskesmas. The vaccine will be given in the form of oral drops or 5 drops each.
Dosage is adjusted according to age. But generally, the vaccine is given in three doses with each one 1 month apart.
The first dose is usually given at 6 weeks of age. This time is considered appropriate because it can provide maximum protection for babies from exposure to rotavirus.
The second dose is given at 10 weeks of age. This dose is given to strengthen the body’s immune response to the virus.
While the third dose is given at 14 weeks of age. This dosage is complementary in nature and provides long-term protection.
