SHAFTS – Free practice session 1 MotoGP Netherlands 2021 took place today, Friday (25/6/2021), afternoon WIB. Repsol Honda Racers, Marc Marquez, and Valentino Rossi from Petronas Yamaha SRT achieved less good results in free practice session 1.
The racers raced their bikes to have the best time at the Assen Circuit. Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Maverick Vinales, stole the show at the start of the free practice session.
He drove fast to carve out a pretty good time. That time even put Vinales in first position at the start of the 1st free practice session.
For your information, Vinales was the last winner of the Dutch series race in 2019. He smoked Marquez and his current teammate, Fabio Quartararo (with Petronas Yamaha SRT at the time), to win the 2019 Dutch MotoGP.

Meanwhile, Marquez and Rossi are trying to have a good record too. Unfortunately, Marquez and Rossi’s hopes did not come true.
Marquez, who won the 2021 German MotoGP race, was only able to finish ninth. He recorded a time of 1 minute 34, 048 seconds.
Marquez’s nick is better than Rossi who is in 15th position. The Doctor-Rosi’s nickname- recorded a time of 1 minute 34.431 seconds.
In the end, Vinales became the fastest racer in free practice session 1 with a time of 1 minute 33.072 seconds. Vinales was followed by Marquez’s teammate Pol Espargaro in second and Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins in third.
The racers still have a chance to improve their time. Because, free practice session 2 will be held today, evening WIB.
