The state of New York opened two new vaccination sites on Friday, one of them in the Empire State Building and where the first 100 people to receive the vaccine will be awarded a free pass to the observatory of the famous building.
The other site will be located at the College of Staten Island.
The vaccination center at the Empire State Building will be open from Friday to Sunday and will operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am The site will be managed by the community organization SOMOS Community Care.

“Each injection in the arm brings us one step closer to defeating COVID, and if you still need to be vaccinated, I encourage you to do so as quickly as possible so that we can continue to advance against this virus and defeat it once and for all,” he said Governor Andrew Cuomo in making the announcement about the two new sites.
The immediate goal of the state is to reach the figure of 70% of vaccinated in New York, since once that figure is reached, the restrictions imposed by the pandemic can be eliminated.
