As is customary, professionals from the Municipal Health Department of the Capital scheduled the activities that will take place throughout February and that will cover different areas of the Capital:
Tuesday February 7
– Prostate cancer prevention operation. From 09:00 to 12:00, on the Esplanade of the municipal building. It is a non-invasive exam, intended for men over 50 years of age. The PSA (prostate specific antigen) test is a test that measures the level of PSA in a blood sample. Prostate-specific antigen is a protein produced by the prostate. The test is performed with a blood draw. This test measures the concentration of a specific protein that is often elevated in men with prostate cancer. In addition, patients will receive medical advice.
– Operative “My First Thousand Days in Movement”. Starting at 10:00 in the neighborhood
Costa Canal III (Rogelio R. Cerdera and Passage Indalecio Cortines Mz C House 10). Intended for pregnant and postpartum women, mothers and/or fathers of children from 0 to 5 years of age. Interdisciplinary workshop (vaccination, dentistry, kinesiology and nutrition) on healthy habits and care in the first 2,000 days of life (from conception to 5 years). Gifts and products from the My First and My Second Thousand Days programs will be delivered. In addition, calendar vaccines and Covid vaccines will be given to children and adults.
Saturday February 11
– Training on First Aid and CPR-DEA, testing and counseling for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, and Calendar and COVID-19 vaccination. From 09:00 to 12:00, in the Plaza del Barrio Colón (Mercedario and Amín Raed streets).
Monday February 13
– Health Camp. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in Villa Nueva (calle Corrientes 112 east). In this health approach, the Health Directorate team will provide dental, medical, nutritional care, blood pressure controls, blood glucose, oximetry, weight, height, BMI, laboratory (Chagas analysis), advice on the “My First 1000 Days” program, Covid-19 vaccination and calendar.
Covid-19 vaccination intended for people from 6 months to 2 years (1st and 2nd dose), people from 3 to 11 years old (1st and 2nd dose – 1st and 2nd booster), over 12 years of age (1 1st and 2nd dose – 1st and 2nd booster), immunocompromised patients over 12 years of age (3rd booster) and over 18 years of age (3rd booster).
All National Vaccination Calendar and National Campaign vaccines will be available, corresponding to an extra dose of Triple Viral and Salk, for all children born from 11/01/2017 to 09/30/2021.
Requirements: DNI, vaccination card and interval of 4 months (120 days) from the last dose in case a reinforcement corresponds.
Tuesday February 14
– “Monitoring of Healthy Children in Pediatric Dentistry”. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Villa Carolina Picnic Area (1818 South United States Street).
Thursday February 16
– Training on first aid and CPR-DEA. From 09:00 to 12:00, in the Plaza del Barrio SMATA (1400 Perito Moreno street north, intersection with Cervantes).
Friday February 24

National Vaccination Campaign against Measles, Rubella, Mumps and Polio, aimed at all boys or girls between 13 months and 4 years old, born from 11/01/2017 to 09/30/2021. Covid-19 vaccination intended for people from 6 months to 2 years (1st and 2nd dose), from 3 to 11 years old (1st and 2nd dose – 1st and 2nd booster), over 12 years old (1st and 2nd dose – 1st and 2nd reinforcement), immunocompromised over 12 years of age (3rd reinforcement) and over 18 years of age (3rd reinforcement).
