Free medical taxi service in Les Coves de Vinromà (Castellón)
The City Council of Les Coves de Vinromà has activated the medical taxi transport service in order to continue improving the quality of life of those elderly or those without vehicle availability who have to travel to health centers.
Likewise, residents can access this free service by formalizing the request at the Town Hall and justifying the medical need.
The service is subsidized by the Castellón Provincial Council, so that this year users will be able to continue using the medical taxi.
During 2019, a total of 114 residents have used this transport and 394 trips have been made.
In this way, the subsidy obtained from the provincial administration, the City Council has added a contribution of 4,900 euros to extend the service until the end of the year.
The mayor of the town, Mònica Nos, has pointed out that “it is good news that we can once again take advantage of this subsidy, since after a year in operation we have verified that the taxi for medical purposes is of great help to the neighbors. ”.
