The population can go for their doses to the IMSS-Wellbeing Medical Units of the state.
To protect the health of the population and avoid serious illnesses, the Government of the state of Tlaxcala, through the Health Sector, maintains free vaccination against Influenza and Covid-19 in the IMSS-Wellbeing Health Centers throughout the state starting from 8:00 a.m.
The state head of Universal Vaccination of the Health Sector, Lucero González Vivanco, invited the population to go to the Medical Units to receive their respective doses as a preventive measure so that Tlaxcala continues without an increase in infections.
The doses against seasonal influenza are aimed at girls and boys from 6 to 59 months of age, adults over 60 years of age, pregnant women, and the population from 5 to 59 years of age with comorbidities such as congenital heart or lung diseases, diabetes, obesity, chronic lung and cardiovascular disease, kidney failure and cancer, as well as people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
The vaccine against Covid-19 is aimed at the population over 18 years of age who can receive their booster dose, or who needs to protect their health from contagion, in order not to suffer serious effects from this disease.
González Vivanco stated that vaccines save lives and prevent major health effects in the winter season, mainly among vulnerable groups such as older adults, pregnant women and children under 5 years of age.
He stressed that the Health Sector calls on the population that is in any of the risk groups to come and receive their respective vaccine, which is universal and free, and reiterated that the vaccine doses that have been applied in the state territory, place Tlaxcala among the entities in the country that do not present high increases in positive cases of Covid-19.
