BF3: Reality Mod has been launched and can be downloaded now.
“BF3: Reality Mod” was just released
They are thanks to VU (“Venice Unleashed”) which makes it possible to modify EA’s war game which many believe is the best in the series – without a doubt it was an ever so small revolution, especially on the graphics front, when it came in 2011 .
What this mod focuses on, however, is not graphics, but more realism, teamwork and communication. Everything from interface to gameplay has been changed to serve a more tactical experience.
This is how you get started
First of all, it is worth noting that the extension is legal and separate in a way from Dice’s trademark so that one is not banned.
To get started (you must of course own Battlefield 3) you must register a VU account, install the client, log in and connect the EA account to VU. To find games, use the server overview and filter with “realitymod.”
You can create a maximum of four players in one account.
There is also support for:
- Over 100 players
- Frostbite Engine
- VoIPt
- New models, textures and maps
- Dynamic weather and day mode
