Mario Mandzukic, Jése and Alexandre Pato top the list of free players who could get to Liga MX for free in winter
MEXICO – The clubs of the Liga MX are being reinforced in the face of Guard1anes 2021 and most teams have a limited budget so fans are not expecting bomb transfers, however, there are big names available in the market that could come for free.
ESPN Digital presents the most prominent figures who currently do not have a team and could continue their careers in Mexican football.
Daniel Sturridge
The English striker is one of the most attractive options available on the market. Sturridge, 31, boasts more than 300 Premier League appearances and has defended the shirts of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City. The only point against him is that he does not play an official match early this year.
Alexandre Pato
The Brazilian striker captivated hundreds of fans during his first spell with AC Milan, a team with which he won Serie A. Pato, 31, has gone through various challenges throughout his career but a few years ago his level took him to play with Chelsea and Villarreal, so Liga MX could be the ideal option for the carioca to recover his best version.
Jesse
The extreme product of the Real Madrid quarry captivated the meringues fans when he debuted in the first team and even the Spanish press considered him the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo, however, physical problems and off-court have not allowed him to consolidate. Jesé, currently 27 years old and for whom PSG paid 25 million euros in 2016, is an interesting option although he is also a player who could be difficult to direct.
