Free Covid-19 Vaccine for High-Risk Groups in Public Health Efforts

The Covid-19 vaccine is free.

Within the framework of the “National Vaccination Plan against Covid-19”, the Secretary of Public Health maintains efforts at the municipal level to maintain containment of the virus and protect the people most susceptible to getting sick or dying from this cause.

Leidy Lisbeth Moreno Meza, Head of the Public Health Unit.

The Health portfolio invites the population over 18 years of age with a high risk of complications to be vaccinated with the additional dose against Covid-19 with the bivalent vaccine from the Moderna laboratory.

Target group for additional dose:

Human Talent in Health, additional dose 6 months after the application of your vaccination schedule (primary schedule and/or boosters). People over 60 years of age additional dose 6 months after the application of their vaccination schedule (primary schedule and/or boosters). Population with comorbidities (serious and/or chronic diseases) additional dose 6 months after their last dose.

The bivalent vaccine against Covid-19 from the Moderna laboratory represents a great advance in the protection against this disease, as it protects both against the original strain of the virus and against the Ómicron variant, providing double protection, its safety and effectiveness being proven.

The target population can go to any of the 17 vaccination points, enabled in the city, from Monday to Friday on a permanent basis; Vaccination is completely free.
