In Deux-Sèvres, local authorities are organizing a free screening operation for Covid-19, by nasal swab, on Thursdays August 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2020 and on Tuesdays August 11, 18, 25 and September 1, from 8:30 a.m. at 1 p.m., at the Visio Center in Noron, 6 rue Archimède in Niort. This campaign is led by the Prefecture, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the City of Niort and the Niortais Agglomeration Community, in conjunction with the Niort Hospital Center (under the Local Contract of health), the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of Deux-Sèvres, Mélioris, the city laboratories Médilab and XLABS.
Break the chain of virus transmission
The aim is to prevent and break the chains of transmission of the virus, which is still actively circulating. It is about contributing to the collective effort to contain the spread of the epidemic. The population of the territory of the Agglomeration Community of Niortais is strongly encouraged to go to this free screening, which is 100% covered by health insurance.
Direct debits by appointment
Samples will only be taken by appointment. Also, residents who wish to participate must directly call the laboratory that will take the sample: XLABS (06 03 52 52 68) for an appointment on Tuesday morning, Medilab (05 49 76 52 88) for an appointment on Thursday morning. A medical prescription is no longer necessary. On the day of the appointment, they must bring an identity document and their Vitale card and respect the barrier gestures (hand washing, wearing a mask).
In the event of a positive result
If the result of the virological test is positive, they will be contacted by the Health Insurance and ARS to be covered and to initiate “contact-tracing”, that is to say the census of all of the people with whom they have been in close contact during the previous days.
