Free! CDMX will give away 10 thousand books to girls and boys this Saturday, we tell you where – El Financiero

The government of Mexico City announced that it will give away more than 10 thousand books in the framework of International Book Daywhich is celebrated this saturday april 23 Worldwide.

During the capital’s press conference this Friday, Claudia Curielhead of the local Culture Secretariat, explained that the books will be delivered to girls and boys between the ages of four and 14.

This event will be held in the Monumental Gate of the Lions in the first section of the Chapultepec Forest. The books will be on several tables so that the girls and boys can approach them, touch them, read them and decide which one they want to wear.

Children can choose their free book from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This initiative is part of the program Reading City.

Also, it was announced opening of one new bookstore of the Economic Culture Fund which will also be located at the Gate of the Lions of the Chapultepec Forest.

“This bookstore is going to be popular books, with a very accessible price for everyoneas part of a policy that will be applied at all times”, said the Secretary of Culture.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. and will include the participation of the musician and composer for children Frank Frank and the children’s writer’s talk Jaime Alonso Sandovalauthor of the book Ferdinand’s ghosts.
