The City of Harlingen and the Harlingen Public Library are partnering with the South Texas Literacy Coalition (STLC) for a special book delivery during the holidays.
The self-service will take place beginning Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Harlingen Soccer Complex.
The self-service event is for families with children ages 0-17. Thanks to a grant from the Molina Foundation, each child will receive a bag with four or five books selected for their age group.
Families will also receive a set of crafts, coloring books, and information on local organizations that support families.
Due to COVID-19 and state and local mandates, everyone will have to remain in their vehicles and face masks are required.
The Harlingen Soccer Complex is located at 4515 E. Harrison Avenue.
