On the occasion of the Festival of Colors in India, two free avatar items will be available in the Pokémon GO in-game shop from Friday evening (March 26th).
The Indian Festival of colors – also called Holi – has now achieved worldwide fame and popularity, but Niantic still excludes all players outside of India from the associated Pokémon GO event. While the coaches of the South Asian subcontinent can look forward to various content and bonuses on Sunday (March 28th), the rest of the world has to go along with the free avatar items put up with. Two T-shirts will be available in the in-game shop from Friday at 9 p.m.
According to the occasion, the clothes are covered with splashes of color, a white and a black variant are offered. The Festival of Colors rounds off March – at least for Indian players – in Pokémon GO, and various events are on the program again in April. New raid bosses, spotlight hours and events will find their way into the smartphone title, and the upcoming special raid weekend is all about Rayquaza.
