“Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination for Pets in León, Guanajuato by Guanajuato Health System”

The Guanajuato Health System anti-rabies vaccination began at the UMAPS “La Libertad” in León, but it was also extended to other points such as the Citizenship Square, Griselda Álvarez, which was where Esmeralda arrived with her owner.

According to information from the Guanajuato Health Secretariat (SSG) 185,000 doses will be applied in León to vaccinate dogs and cats and 18 units will participate with a team of at least 100 people during the start-up; health personnel, medical trainees, non-governmental organizations and veterinary medical associations.

Once you vaccinate your pets they will hand them overn certificate that they have to keep, it must be stamped by the unit where they are applying their vaccine and they will be given a plaque for their pet as part of the vouchers.

All pets can be vaccinated from one month of birthrevaccination after three months and subsequently every year.

It is recommended that adults take their pets to be vaccinated and in case you consider putting a muzzle on dogs that require it. The hours will be from 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon or until the existence of the biological is exhausted.

Among the 46 municipalities 800 vaccination posts will be installed in the Health Centers, as well as more than 1,200 brigades that will make home visits per house in places of difficult access to ensure that this service benefits the entire population of Guanajuato.
