The Municipality of Córdoba, through the Center for Control, Reproduction and Responsible Ownership of Companion Animals of the BioCórdoba entity, is holding this Saturday, June 15, until 6:00 p.m., a free day of anti-rabies vaccination and deworming for canines and cats in front of the Rose garden in Sarmiento Park.
Through these actions, the Municipality seeks to prevent rabies infections as well as raise awareness among the neighbors about the importance and obligation to vaccinate animals and thus achieve better control of said disease.
“We are very happy to continue with this initiative, aware that the prevention of zoonotic diseases is essential to care for our companion animals and neighbors,” said Gastón Citati, director of municipal Domestic Fauna.
And he added: “We invite all citizens who have pets to come to the vaccination tent for the placement of the anti-rabies dose that is annual, mandatory and free.”
In order to receive the rabies vaccine dose, animals must be one year old since the last dose and be over four months old.
In addition, cats must be inside a kennel or mesh bag and dogs must be on a leash, and if they are large, a muzzle.
During the event, Cabono will be present, a venture that is a member of the Circular Economy Cluster that provides an ecological solution for pet feces.
A dog square with games will be set up, there will be entertainment, music, raffles, gifts for pets and a responsible adoption campaign for dogs and cats.
