Closed in both directions
The road is closed in both directions and police tell Dagbladet that the area will remain closed for quite some time.
– When a fatal accident occurs, both the accident team of the Norwegian Traffic Administration and forensic technicians from the police will work on site. Traffic has been diverted and will be diverted for several hours to come, Ormaasen says.
According to the operations manager, the site should not be slippery.
– It’s too early to say anything about the cause of the accident, he says.
The report of the accident was received by the police at 09.12.
In Dagbladet, East 110 central duty manager Roger Andersen said the first reports they received were that people were trapped after the crash, but he has not received any confirmation of that.
– Sorry
Børre Johnsen, director of communications at Østfold Kollektivtrafikk, tells Dagbladet that he has been informed of the incident.
– We are very sorry for what happened, he says.
– These are buses that run for Østfold Kollektivtrafikk, but it is Vy who drives the buses and has the responsibility of the operator and staff.
Press guard Kaja Rynning Moen in Vy tells Dagbladet there is little to say about the incident at the moment.
– We are present and assisting the police, but other than that there’s really nothing else we can say as it is the police who are in charge of the scene.
The case is up to date.
