Frédéric Vesti takes pole position at FIA-F2 Monaco tournament

Qualifying for the FIA-F2 Monaco tournament was held, and Frédéric Vesti took pole position and scored two points. Qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix was split into two parts, with Vesti, who set the fastest lap in Group B, lining up on the front row with Victor Martins, who set the fastest lap in Group A.

Qualifying was interrupted at various stages by crashes of Arthur Leclerc, Ewan Darbala and, at the end of the second session, Clement Novarak. Their incident has resulted in six red flags so far throughout the F2 weekend. In Group B, Vesti’s rival Theo Prusal was second, with Zayn Maloney third. They were followed by Jack Crawford, Ayumu Iwasa and Amaury Cordille. In Group B, Juan Manuel Correa was seventh, followed by Clement Bovarak, Dennis Hauger and Ralf Boschung. Brad Benavidez rounded out the eleven drivers in Group B. Right behind Martans in Group A was Jack Doohan, furious with the slower Kush Maini in his bid for fastest. Richard Ferschfor, Darbala and Isaac Hajar finished the first session in 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. They were followed by Kush Maini and Enzo Fittipaldi, with Oliver Behrman leading Roy Nissany. Leclerc finished ahead of Roman Stanek, who entered qualifying after receiving a grid penalty after a practice accident with Boschung. With the second qualifying group ultimately taking pole, Vesti and the Group B drivers behind them will start on the right grid, while the Group A drivers will start on the left.
